It is located at the Northwest corner of where the old Haigler well house stood. (That well house has been torn down). When the county widen the road Marion Douglass took a transit and moved the stone so it wasn't in the way of the widen road. It would be a little ways to the north half of the distance from the railroad tracks to the bridge, on the east side of the road. Cal Freehling
CALVIN IS RIGHT. THIS MARKER STOOD ABOUT 4 FEET IN HEIGHT AT THE OLD WELL HOUSE, IF ONE CAN VISUALIZE, THIS WAS A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF FLOOD WATER MOVING FAST DOWN STREAM, NOT JUST STANDING WATER. DALLAS ADAMS
I remember the '35 flood marker when I was a youngster. I used to hunt on the river and frequented the old monument often. Glad to know it still exists.
