After a holiday visit in May 2008 from Texas to visit and decorate family graves in both the Glendale Cemetery in Vernon, Colorado along with the Haigler Cemetery with whom I have (3) generations of my mother's family laid to rest here I was very saddened and surprized to see a total and complete destruction of all perennial flowers rather than either maintain or simply to leave alone the flowers to bloom as nature has intended.
ReplyDeleteSmall towns have always been the "standard" when it comes to pride and joy of their cemeteries as this is truly Small Town USA history laid to rest.
I am hopeful their was a reason this in May 2008.
