Mr. and Mrs. Vic Stasser returned from Denver last Tuesday with a '36 Nash, a Ford pickup and a motorcycle, and now, as Mr. Stasser put it, “they are on foot again,” as they almost immediately sold the Nash to John Zweygardt; the pickup to Charlie Vanderford and the motorcycle to Gerald Myer.

Mr. and Mrs. Vic Stasser accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gies to Denver Sunday. They plan to drive back a car which they purchased in Denver. Mr. and Mrs. Gies returned Monday evening. Ralph Gies came in to Denver from Ft. Logan to visit with his parents, who were guests Sunday night of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dexter, Barbara Rae and Philip Dexter accompanied their grandparents to Denver.

I love these tidbits. It's so interesting what made news. Just by chance, my mother is Barbara Rae (Dexter) Platon and my Uncle Phil got some press too. I have fond memories of running around town on vacation visits and helping out grampa Jim at the Texaco.
