The Haigler Flour Mill

My sister Joann and I were talking last week-end about Haigler.  She said she remembered a Flour Mill or Flour Factory down by McCoys in N.W. Haigler as a little girl.  I do not remember anything like that, probably because of the generation gap.  It may have been across the street from McCoys at the Oscar Wonder place which I thought was a garage-------- as the highway used to run past or along the railroad tracks in that part of town.   The 1935 flood probably changed a lot of things in after years to Haigler.

Just thought you would like to know more of the history of Haigler.   Maybe somebody else can remember the Flour Mill or Flour Factory?

  1. Yes, it was east across the street from Mac McCoy's. It was a partial basement with about four foot walls above ground level with a roof on it. Calvin
