Alice Gregory's 95th Birthday Open House

Alice Gregory is 95.  Many relatives, friends and neighbors stopped by to help Alice Gregory celebrate her 95th birthday - which was November 20, 2009.  The Open House was held on Sunday the 22nd of November in her home in Tucson AZ where she still lives alone.

 

She'd like to thank all of you who sent cards, e-mails, telephone calls and stopped by the Open House.  Four of her children were there, Leah Brewer, Leone Carlson, Dick Gregory and Eunice Richard.  Sherri Gregory was unable to be there.  Several of her grandchildren and great grandchildren were there as well.

Update from Gene Pennell

We do want to thank each and every one of you who prayed for Gene on the terrible Ulcers on his legs. He went through  some very bad times over these 3 months. So very painful and he couldn't hardly walk some of the times. 

When he came home from the hospital the doctor contacted Home Health for us and they were such help. With a wheelchair. Oxygen and Nebulizer as he was having trouble getting enough oxygen into his lungs, and even a lifeline free for a month. The Nurses came 2-3 times a week and furnished the supplies for the treatments. Now they come 1 time a week and they say how well he is doing. So again thank you all so very much and the ones who called and asked how he was doing. We really appreciate it so very much. The doctors say he is about 90% well. (if it wasn't for the pain he would be he says)

But he walks around now so much better. And I know the Good Lord has had his hand in this too. Thank you Lord.

Sad News

We just received word that Bernita Smith lost her battle with cancer today. 

Our sympathy goes out to her husband Robert and her family.

Craft Show in Benkelman - Saturday, November 14

My granddaughter, Cari Wood, has her own in-home-business -- making candles, etc.  She lives in Golden, CO and will be coming to the craft show here in Benkelman on Saturday, November 14th at the Elementary school.  

If you're in the area, stop by and say Hi to her.  She would love to meet her relatives here in southwest Nebraska.  Spread the word!
