Work is progressing on Dist. 67 South Schoolhouse
Pictures of work progressing inside on country schoolhouse 67 south museum.
Stan Webster & Stan Carlock finish the drywalling; painting and window trim is now completed, as well as the final wood flooring.
Next step is to install the wainscoating on walls--donated from the Laird, CO school. - hope to have some of it on, and a few pieces of furniture in by the open house on Memorial weekend. --
This is the 3rd year of work --the project will be completed before year end.

LaVerne and Laura write: She has been a figure here in Haigler forever. Her family owned the grocery store when she was younger. Later she was Postmaster here for around 50 years. Now her daughter has the store and she likes to go there to visit with the people and help.

NE vs. CA Weather
Do you realize according to your blog, the weather is better there in Nebraska than it is in "sunny" California? It is 55 degrees according to AOL & that is on the high desert! Greetings to all from
