House at top of hill by water tower

Picture from the 1976 Haigler Centennial Book
Can someone give me some information on the house at the top of the hill at the south end of main street, such as when was it built, who built it, how long did they live there?  The usual stuff that is in a good story.

While in my days as a carpenter I did some remodel work on that house when Bob and Linda Northrup moved into it.  It was a neat house and I always wondered what its story was.  I am sure it was built before the water tower was.  Please fill in the blanks.

I think this is the house that Carl and Pete Sacket lived in. Later, I believe that Royce and Marsha Stute lived there.

  2. Bob and Linda did not move into the Sackett House. After they finished remodeling it they sold it to Darrell and Sharon Rayburn who at the time owned a drugstore in Wray. They have both passed away and their children own it. It is now vacant. Royce Stute bought it and resold it to Bob Northrup. He and Marsha never lived it in.
