HAIGLER NEWS - ALUMNI WEEKEND

Haigler Alumni, family, and friends are invited to "come home" to Haigler this coming Memorial/Alumni weekend, May 25-27.
Scheduled activities include a Saturday afternoon open house at the Haigler Legion Community Building from 2-5 p.m., hosted by the 50 year reunion class.  Plan to stop by and visit with friends and enjoy refreshments.

Saturday evening is the Dundy County Alumni Banquet in Benkelman, and many will be attending this event.  Also on Saturday evening, there will be a dance in Haigler at the Legion--with former Haigler graduate LaVoine Smith and the Garage Bunch Band from Burlington, Colorado playing.

On Sunday, May 26, the traditional 12 noon potluck luncheon will be held at the Haigler Legion Community Building.  Just bring some food.  Plates, utensils, and drinks are furnished.  There will be a short program following the luncheon.  After these events, there will be open house at the completed Haigler One-Room Country Schoolhouse Museum, and the developing Haigler Cornerstone Museum--and the Haigler Elementary School and gymnasium.  This was the last year for the Haigler School, and many alumni may want to tour the buildings before they are sold later this summer.  Alumni will be glad to know that many items from all the Haigler Schools through the years will be given to the Haigler Museums for display.

On Monday morning at 10 a.m. at the Haigler Cemetery, a Memorial Day service will be held, with coffee and doughnuts afterwards at the Legion Building on Main Street.  We look forward to seeing you at these events in Haigler.
