HAIGLER GUN and CRAFT SHOW THIS WEEKEND!

Make Haigler, NE the center of your activities this weekend!  The big sign in Haigler along Highway 34 points the way to the  Haigler Gun and Craft Show,  November 22-23 at The Cornerstone Center for Community Service, 251 East Norman Street.  The facility is handicapped accessible; and there is free parking.  Welcome banners are out on both entrances of town.  Hours are from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. MST  Saturday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. MST Sunday.    There is a $5 fee for the Gun Show (held in the gymnasium) but no fee for the Craft Show (held in the suites).  Children under 12 are admitted free if accompanied by an adult.  Persons 17 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.  The Sunshine Thrift, the Cornerstone Mini-Mall, and the library will also be open.  The Sunshine Thrift will be having a $4 bag sale on everything but new merchandise.  All attendees should use the front door entrance (north side) of the Cornerstone Center.  All other doors will be locked.
Food and drink are available on site--with breakfast rolls and coffee and lunch of chili, chili dogs, crackers, chips, and homemade pies, cakes, and desserts.  Free will donations are to the Haigler, Dundy County Community Foundation.  Steve Olson, one of the organizers of the event, says "We have almost 40 vendors attending from our tri-state area of Nebraska, Colorado, and Kansas--and also a couple vendors from Wyoming.  The planning committee has worked hard to bring a wide variety of merchandise to all attending--now, we just need people to come see everything on display."
Door prizes will be given throughout the day for both the Gun and the Craft Show.  Tim Fegler, owner of Paradise Company Ammo Shack in Benkelman, NE  has donated a Mossberg 20 gauge , 24" barrel, 5 choker automatic shotgun to be given away to some lucky winner.  Tim said, "This Haigler Show promises to be a good one!"
As stated in all the fliers that are posted and circulating; all federal, state, and local laws will be enforced.  No illegal or loaded weapons.  Guns coming in will be checked.  All firearms must be strapped.  No handguns to be worn.  No alcoholic beverages or smoking permitted.  Guards will be on duty at all times.  The Cornerstone Center is not responsible for accidents or theft.
This weekend event in Haigler is a first!   Speaking on behalf of the Cornerstone Center, LaNeta Carlock said,"The response to the idea of a Haigler Gun & Craft Show has been very good, and our community of volunteers have invested a lot of time and expense to make it happen.  We are hopeful the Haigler Gun & Craft Show will become an annual November event.  Everyone is invited to make Haigler the center of your activities this weekend."
