I believe the individual or group that started this Blog has done an outstanding job and I hope it will continue to grow and memories will flow.
I am Mick Trembly's 2nd oldest son and nephew of Floyd Trembly who built the Trembly Grocery on the NE corner of US 34 and Main St. I worked in the store for many years and waited on many of you who have posted articles. The store is now run by LaVonne Smith Yaggers who is Floyd Trembly's grand daughter.
I lived with Eddie Heye while going to Haigler High School. Eddie had his shoe repair shop on each side of main street before he moved to Wray. He had both feet and moved around on blocks of wood due to polio at the age of 7. He is buried in the Mount Zion Cemetery near Wauneta, NB.
There are other things I remember but I have to put them in order with dates and so forth.
I also lived in the same house that Dick and Molly Green built east of Haigler. Thanks again for this wonderful site and let's keep it going.
