Yes, the Golden Inn is very much alive today. They serve meals there every Tuesday and I think around 30 or more attend regularly and enjoy the fellowship. Bob Yost told us a while back that when the SDA church cosed it was given to the senior citizens for that purpose. Occasionally some family groups use it for reunion-once that I know of, anyway. Ethel and I were invited to the Methodist Womens Club one time that was held there. The theme that month was about local talent and Laura Pearl Wall asked Ethel to come and display some of her paintings and crochet work. They had it there only once, I think. That time it was because one of the ladies that wanted to come could not navigate the stairs into the basement of the Methodist church.
They built an entry way, put bathrooms in the children's classroom on the southwest corner. The kitchen is in the front where the stage or rostrum was.
Some of my "I think's" may not be completely factual, but is my honest understanding.
