Haigler Happenings TODAY

I spent a very interesting day bumming around Haigler today with Karen (White) Lindell.

We had lunch in Jake's Place (a cheeseburger and coffee). Ran into several "Haiglerites", including Lester Adams at Jake's Place, LaVonn (Smith), Violett (Trembly/Smith) Relph, Sophie (Keller) Zuege at the grocery store.

Had a great visit with Violet Relph and Sophia Zuege. Spent quite alot of time with Ray and Floy Ruggles. Drove through the cemetery and visited some remembered and loved people.

Stopped to see Cal & Susan Freehling on the way down yesterday. What a nice place they have and their hospitality is "out of this world". They loaned me some Haigler annuals. I can't wait to spend some time getting them ready to show you what are in them. (Some of you probably have copies of these, but for those who don't, this will be special) Tried to call Laura Pearl and see her today, but kept missing her. Will try again tomorrow. She has so much information about Haigler, I really wanted to visit with her.

Have a lot of interesting 'stuff' to write in the blog... Ran into a lady today from Denver, whose dad operated the Newspaper in early 1900s... She just happened to stop in at the store when Floy and I were in there late this afternoon. She told an interesting story about her dad.

Need to spend some time getting the pictures transferred and posted. Watch for some cool stuff as soon as I get home and can get hooked up to my own computer. Cal, your Grandma's house got TP'd on Halloween, so the trees are all decorated! There were several other houses with TP in the trees, also.

The sad news of Ward Wonder's passing yesterday was on everyone's hearts today. I haven't talked to anyone that knows when the funeral is, but will see if I can find out tomorrow and let you all know.
