Paeske

George Paeske's land was later owned by Fred and Mabel Wall.

I remember Mr. Paeske. His wife was sister of Jake, Fred and Billy Wall. I saw him at the literaries that Prairie Rose and Prairie Bell schools had. He had white hair and that is about all that I remember. Paeske's had a teen-age girl (Sadie) with them--Mrs. Paske was an invalid.

My dad and a couple of other neighbors were appointed to vouch for them that Sadie was treated right. I remember that she sang something at literary one time.

Sometime in the th
irties Mabel Streich, who later married Fred Wall, worked for Mr. Paeske. He willed the land to her for taking care of him for the rest of his life. She had two girls. Jean Streich was working in St. Francis when I was in high school. The other girl (I forget her name) had twins Darlene and Darien. They are the ones that first had the white coats that my girls, Leah and Leone, wore.
