Are you like me? Do you have too much STUFF? Sometimes I find out that people throw things away that other people might love to have; or it is old enough to be appreciated by a museum.
When I was a kid growing up in a big old farm house that my parents had purchased shortly before I was born, my folks had to find things to keep us busy in the summertime. One of the tasks my sisters and I were given was to "clean out the attic." There were old newspapers, magazines, lamps, clothes, furniture, etc stored up there from the previous owners. It was my first introduction to "True Romance" and other magazines that I'm sure our mother didn't know were there!! There were stacks of old newspapers that NOW I would love to have. All of this STUFF was taken to the canyon south of the house where we had a trash dump and thrown over the edge, or it was burned in a cistern outside the kitchen door that we were trying to fill up and get rid of.
So, all I'm saying is: If you are spring cleaning this month or next as we always used to do; (as if we had time nowadays!), just remember that your "junk" might be appreciated by one of the museums in the area or by a collector.
If you haven't heard of Craigslist or have never used eBay, they are both good places to offer your "junk" to others who might want it; and you might make a buck while you're at it.
HAPPY SPRING, Everybody!!!
