Hello Haigler!
I bicycled through your town on my way across the country in 1991 and walked through it on my way across the country raising money for breast cancer research in 2008. I fondly remember platter-sized pancakes for dinner and a pretty waitress at the truck stop in 1991, and Lavonne offering me much needed ice pops, Jakes Place a burger, and the Methodist church allowing me to stay in their basement in 2008. Many thanks to your wonderful town for supporting me in my endeavors! |

Bicycle Trip through town
Some of you may have met Ron when he came through town in 1991 and 2008. He remembers our town fondly as he says in his note in the Guestbook.

I have done some long tours on my folding bike, and I'm always pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the people I meet along the way. I've never been through Haigler, but maybe on the next trip I'll ride through.
