My mother told me that south of the stockyards and north of our house was a storage building for a circus that held up in Haigler for wintering.
One winter a couple of monkies got loose and was on the north side of our yard. She went out and picked up a rock -- like she was going to throw it at the monkies. She eventually got scared and retreated back into the house. (This was probably before I was born).
I will be absent from the computer 4-5 days, as Judy and I will be at Ocean Shores.
This blog has really jogged a lot of memories of Haigler that are racing through my mind. It's exciting and fun and has connected me with a couple of former Haiglerites.
