Don and Virginia Harford gave me some newspapers last weekend while I was in Haigler. I was excited to find the paper dated September 14, 1926, which is filled with interesting tidbits of news of that fall. One that caught my eye on the front page was the following item about the Haigler Colts winning the championship that year with Wade Hoover as their pitcher.
More news items as I get to them. This paper is very brittle, so I'm scanning to into the computer, then will try to preserve it by laminating it so others can also read it.
