Last night, they said they were prepared with plenty of water and food. They expected power outage for several days.
Spring is just north of Houston on Interstate 45.
I've been watching the reports of damage this morning and expect they were in the middle of some pretty damaging winds during the early morning hours until later today. One of the things mentioned was the windows being blown out of the buildings in downtown Houston. The last contract I know of that he worked on was in the Chase building that was mentioned in the damage reports.
I'll keep you updated:
Saturday: Dick & Sharon and their house and survived the heavy winds and rain with very little damage. Their electricity was out for awhile, but is back on. They missed the brunt of the wind. We are thankful for that. Dick's daughter, Sheila & husband Marty have a tree on top of their house, but didn't break through the roof...
Later:
Do any of you have friends or relatives that live in the Galveston or Houston area?
Finally got an email from my niece in Houston. They just got their power back today. Dick & Sharon's power is not back on yet and they have to boil their water before using it. Hope to hear more soon.
