The "First Spring Festival Extraordinaire," is set for 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 2 in Haigler, offering the "best darn art and craft, wine and brew."
Artists and photographers throughout our tri-state area will be displaying and selling their works of oil painting, watercolors, drawings, sketches, sculpture, stained glass, and photography. Attendees will be invited to cast their vote for People's Choice Award on the original art. Art Guilds and Galleries from Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado are all involved in producing this special event. The Wray, Colorado Art Guild is also hosting their annual Art Show this same weekend--so you have lots of opportunities to view and purchase original art.
Many talented crafters will have tables offering a wide variety of products--including jewelry, beauty, bath and body, goat soaps and materials, scroll saw items, needlework, handmade rugs, candles, alpaca items, cooking products, health, pain and weight loss products, home decor, yard decor, gifts, homemade quilts, accessories, creations and treasures of all kinds.
Throughout the Festival, there will be tastings of wine from Sage Hill Vineyard & Winery of Parks, Nebraska and micro brews from Loop Brewing Co. of McCook, Nebraska. These tastings will be found 'under the canopies.' Products will also be available for purchase. Also throughout the Festival, local auctioneers will be auctioning original works of art and craft, and door prizes will be given.
