Raymond and Ethyle(Tiff) Sampson had four children, Jerry, Dennis, twins Marilyn and Carolyn. Raymond was the son of Tom Sampson and Zella (Sampson) Wolfe-Sullivan was Tom's daughter. Zella had a son, Delbert Wolfe and a daughter, Reva Wolfe.
I keep in touch with J.R. Sampson from Portland. They originally moved to The Dalles, Oregon. I think Reva is still near The Dalles or in that area. Marilyn died last year to cancer. The twins were very pretty girls. Dennis, i think, lives down by Prineville, Oregon. Delbert Wolfe recently moved back from Palisade, Nebraska to Baker City, Oregon. Keeping in touch with Jerry Sampson and Delbert Wolfe occasionally.
Tom Sampson had the biggest meanest rooster chicken I have ever seen in my life. I think the chicken theives from Haigler (Al and Cal) would have been on the run with this big bird with three inch spikes flying into the air with a downward stroke to spike the offenders. I'm glad they only stuck to thieving hens for their own safety.This bird probably stood 2-1/2 feet in height! No exaggerations here!! He was a BIG BIRD CHICKEN. He could run fast too. I know because I used to tease this big bird chicken, making him meaner!! Sooo!!!! What else was there to do in Haigler???
