Wow!!! What you wrote about your dad and the similarities that I remember about my dad sure joggles the brain.
I had forgotten about the tornado that Karen White told about that blew away the school. That very same tornado struck east of Haigler at the Kuhn's and Bushe's places.
My Dad was born on the Hackberry, his parents divorced and he was on his own at a very young age. He loved Beecher Island Days Celebrations where Chief Roman Nose is burried. One time, he was caught in a hail storm and turned the wagon upside down to shelter the women and himself in a hail storm.
I think I remember Dad mentioning Mill's Ranch, but when you are a kid, it kinda goes in one ear and out the other, because it doesn't have much importance in a kid's life.
All the family names that have been mentioned this last week are all starting to come back like a jig-saw puzzle out of a time capsule. Folks that I have not heard of for years are starting to surface with this blog.
