What happened to the buildings? Were they torn down or moved to make way for the 3rd set of train tracks???
ReplyDeleteI barely remember the name L. E. Crews. He operated from the Haigler Ranch, I think?? I had to bring out the magnifying glass to look at some images. The white letters that I could not read at the bottom -- Probably year and date?
The picture looks to be heading north towards the river.
I like the nostalgia of the Haigler past. If Haigler pumped water in from the sandhills then.. it is possible Haigler could have been larger than Denver?? Food for thought. i.e., LasVegas was a small spot in the desert with a very small population -- Look at it now. I think Haigler could have grown - the potential was there.
