Did you know that Lt. General Edward Snedeker, who graduated from Benkelman High School as valedictorian of the class of 1922, attained the highest rank in the Marine Corp. He became the Camandant of Marine Corp Schools. He was married to Minnie Douthit in June 1926.

Minnie Douthit was my mother's oldest sister. She graduated from Benkelman. Her parents later sold their farm on the North Divide and ended up north of St. Francis, Ks.
