Sophia Zuege spent several days , including Christmas Day, with her son and wife in Imperial. She returned home Sunday morning.
Lois Zuege enjoyed a good visit from her son, Stanley Dale, of Pagosa Springs, CO. He arrived a week ago Friday and left Sunday morning after Christmas.
Jim and Jerrie Wheaton have had a full house for Christmas. Brent was home on Thursday. Adam, Stephanie and Stephanie's sister Clarissa Hellerich came on Friday. Jim and Jerrie Wheaton have had a full house for Christmas. Brent was home on Saturday morning they all motored to Imperial to spend Christmas with Jerrie's sister and family. Jerrie's nieces were home. Chelsea was here from Seattle and Shelby was here from Japan. Jerrie's mother Clara was also in attendance. There was much game playing and visiting. One of the Christmas presents the Wheatons received was a new board game. Sunday was spent testing the new game. Adam, Stephanie and Clarissa left for Minden after the Bronco game was played. Brent will still be spending some vacation time in Haigler until he returns to Kearney for classes.
Guests for Christmas day Brunch at Laura Pearl Wall’s home were Azure Wall from Lincoln, Dwight Wall from Lewellen, the Perila family from Westminster and MerryLu and Bob Simmons.
On Sunday, Dwight Wall took Laura Pearl Wall to visit Cody and Lindsay Lashley and baby Claire. Others guests of the Lashleys that day were Azure Wall, Karen Vankooten also Caleb Wall from Eustis, Nebraska
Mel Fisher, Sharna and Richard Richardson, and Floy Fisher attended a Christmas Program, at Yuma S.D.A. church, around the fireplace, with dinner and fellowship following.
Monday morning an especially delightful guest to Floy Fisher’s bird feeder was a Red Breasted Nuthatch.
In the wee hours of the morning, December 23rd, Kelley, Nikki and Kelton Faylor from Oklahoma arived at the home of Kelley's Parents, Dwight and Kim Faylor. Early Thursday afternoon, Daneen and Phil Hilger from eastern Kansas, arrived at the home of Daneen's parents, Dale and Dode Faylor. Christmas eve Daneen's son, Josh, and wife Amy arrived at Dale and Dode's home. On Christmas morning Dale and Dode Faylor and Daneen and Phil Hilger went to Burlington to the home of Dale and Dode's daughter Yvonne Clemons and their foster son Anthony and Sherri Morabito. Later that morning Kim and Dwight Faylor and son Kelley, also Josh and Amy Hilger, arrived at the home of the Clemons. On Friday morning, Mindy and Justin Reynolds and children from Abilene, KS, had gotten to the Clemons' home. Sherri's friend, Carolyn, who recently settled in Burlington, also joined all the above for a wonderful dinner.
Christmas day eve, Dale and Dode Faylor, Daneen and Phil Hilger, Dwight and Kim Faylor and the Kelly Faylor family all returned to the Faylor Ranch. On Sunday, Daneen and Phil Hilger attended church with Dale and Dode and after dinner in Wray the Hilgers went to the Clemons' home in Burlington. The Hilgers returned to their home on Monday. Their son, Josh, and his wife went to the Denver area to visit with the Hilger's son J. J. and an aunt of Amy's.
On Sunday the Reynold's and Sherri Morabito went home to Abilene. Sherri will be caring for the Reynold's children for a few days while Mindy is at work.
Monday morning the Kelley Faylor family returned to their home in Oklahoma. Four of Dale and Dode' s grandchildren and their families were unable to come. Dode says, "We always hope and pray that all of our family will be with us; but as the years go by and the family grows and scatters, it is harder to get together. But God is so good to all of us. We never cease to praise Him for every one of our loved ones.
In April, the Faylors will be blessed with their twenty second great grand child.
