MISSION:
To preserve and re-purpose the former Haigler Elementary School and
historical gymnasium buildings for community betterment and economic
development in Haigler, Dundy County, and southwest Nebraska.
PLAN OF ACTION:
New owner will be the Haigler Community Foundation. The fund drive has begun to raise $50,000 for
the purchase dollars and first year’s operating expenses. All donations are tax deductible. It is hoped the doors will be open again by
spring 2014.
Ideas for optimum usage of the facilities will always be welcomed by the
organizing group. Initially, the
facilities will be available for business office rental; meeting rooms, event
rentals, kitchen usage, library development, art gallery, exhibit space for
continuing museum collections to preserve the history of Haigler and of Dundy

Yes, I would consider serving as a Board of Trustee for the Haigler
Community Foundation.
Have "ribbon cutting" ceremonies been scheduled for the opening of The Cornerstone Center for Community Service. My Dad, who is 94, was born and raised in Haigler and contributed to the project. We would be interested in attending this event but need dates in order to make arrangements. Thank you!
