Many years ago, Miss Leona McCallister undertook the task of writing and compiling the history of Dundy county. She solicited the aid of old timers whom she had been able to locate. She hoped to have a book published but found the cost of doing so after the depression had set in was not possible. She decided to have a serial publication in the county weekly newspaper.
The first chapter appeared in the first issue in 1937 and continued until early 1938.
Lucille Gerdes clipped these items from the papers and pasted them in a large scrapbook which has been presented to the museum. Through the diligent effort of Bill Hardwick, these have been transformed into a 300 page book which is available from the Historical Society by contacting Shirley Mullanix or Betty Deyle.

My great great grandfather was a brother of Elmer Dundy. Does the book contain information on Judge Elmer Dundy?
