A correction in the St Francis Herald needs to be made to last week's Haigler News. It should have read "a very strong wind from the northwest passed between Dwight and Kim Faylor's home and Dale and Dode Faylor's home" instead of "between Dwight and Kim Faylor's homes." Dwight and Kim have only one home.
There is a buzz of activity at Haigler's new grain storage facility. It is beginning to receive the new corn crop and has a capacity of about 450,000 bushels.
Sherri Morabito and Yvonne Clemons with foster son, Anthony, came from Burlington on Tuesday, September 28, to their parents, Dale and Dode Faylor's home. They scraped and painted and did other repair jobs for their parents.
Dale and Dode attended the Open House, 90th Birthday celebration for Ed Robinson at the Legion hall in Haigler on Sunday afternoon, September 19. The event was hosted by his children and other relatives.
Tonya Simmons was honored on her Birthday Sunday, October 3rd, at the home of MerryLu and Robert Simmons. Others present were Quentin and Taya Simmons, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Gallego and Laura Pearl Wall. The completion of corn harvest was also celebrated. The Simmonses had pizza supper with Laura Pearl Wall on Thursday to celebrate Bob's birthday.
Mel and Norma Fisher visited Mel's mother, Floy Fisher, Thursday afternoon. Mel was taking a few days off the road to do some work on his truck.
